Listening to: From the Choirgirl Hotel. Not for long, though... it's not really matching my mood quite like I was expecting it too.

Currently Reading: Just barely started Jonathan Lethem's Gun, With Occasional Music. Kind of saving it for the train, as well as a stack of others (both fiction and non). Also, I recently read Laurie Notaro's I Love Everybody (and Other Atrocious Lies): True Tales of a Loudmouth Girl (again) in like two days, and peed myself laughing. Highly recommended. I also devoured The Broke Diaries by Angela Nissel in, like, a mere few days. Laughed until I peed. Also highly recommended.

Wishing: income. Lots of it. Other than that, life's pretty good.

I couldn't be more The current mood of ronkc@diaryland.com at www.imood.com right now.

Birthdays and Retaliatory Attacks

Okay.

So this morning, we're rehearsing for Mass. Mo went to get a drink of water or something. She came back and said that she heard that we had just started attacks on Kabul. In accordance with my guided revelation, I'm not lashing out. I'm sad. I'm a little scared. I'm going to hope. And pray. And hope some more.

We had our Choir kick-off luncheon after Mass. That was a good time, despite the events around the world. Toward the end, it was time to acknowledge birthdays. Mine was brought up. I don't remember telling them when my birthday was, I don't really like my birthday at all. Sure, gifts and money from family is helpful and all, but I really don't know what to do with my hands when people sing that stupid song to me, and it feels like it lasts forever. I just have issues, I guess. Besides, My birthdays never really come out that well... imagine that movie, Sixteen Candles, only it happens once a year, each year, and to me. Except the part where the man of her dreams falls in love with her at the end. That never happens to me.

Ever. And the geek that's attracted to her. I don't actually attract anyone. I'm bad at weddings, though, that part actually happens, though.

Okay, sorry, so yeah, that's what's going on. I'm going to find out what this country has been doing abroad in the past few hours, and then I'm going to do shitloads of homework.

Smile:
