Listening to: From the Choirgirl Hotel. Not for long, though... it's not really matching my mood quite like I was expecting it too.

Currently Reading: Just barely started Jonathan Lethem's Gun, With Occasional Music. Kind of saving it for the train, as well as a stack of others (both fiction and non). Also, I recently read Laurie Notaro's I Love Everybody (and Other Atrocious Lies): True Tales of a Loudmouth Girl (again) in like two days, and peed myself laughing. Highly recommended. I also devoured The Broke Diaries by Angela Nissel in, like, a mere few days. Laughed until I peed. Also highly recommended.

Wishing: income. Lots of it. Other than that, life's pretty good.

I couldn't be more The current mood of ronkc@diaryland.com at www.imood.com right now.

Bathroom

Okay.

So I got reamed, via email, by my Ethics prof. She even suggested that I reevaluate my ability to complete college coursework. I love blatantly discouraging professors.

Anyway.

So, I've always had this really big problem with the bathrooms on my floor. People will use the restroom without flushing or washing their hands.

Now, first of all, that's just fucking gross. Second, it's impolite. I mean, we all have to live together. This is not your own personal bathroom. People keep getting sick. I wonder why. Additionally, there's no ventilation on this side of the hall. So, you know, just, ew.

So I made a sign reading, "Human Waste Is A Biohazard. A Flush Beats A Full House. Do Us All A Favor: Flush, Wash Your Hands. Thank you."

Here's a picture:

With the help of Jamie and Galang, my nextdoor neighbor, we posted the signs in each of the three stalls. So far, there seems to have been 100% improvement.

I guess they were right, when I was in high school and they said that I would really make a difference. Too bad it had to be wasted on restroom conduct.
