Listening to: From the Choirgirl Hotel. Not for long, though... it's not really matching my mood quite like I was expecting it too.

Currently Reading: Just barely started Jonathan Lethem's Gun, With Occasional Music. Kind of saving it for the train, as well as a stack of others (both fiction and non). Also, I recently read Laurie Notaro's I Love Everybody (and Other Atrocious Lies): True Tales of a Loudmouth Girl (again) in like two days, and peed myself laughing. Highly recommended. I also devoured The Broke Diaries by Angela Nissel in, like, a mere few days. Laughed until I peed. Also highly recommended.

Wishing: income. Lots of it. Other than that, life's pretty good.

I couldn't be more The current mood of ronkc@diaryland.com at www.imood.com right now.

When I Woke Up This Morning...

Okay.

When I woke up this morning, I wanted to be a modern interpretive dancer. By this afternoon, I wanted to be drunk.

So, last week was super shitty, what with midterms and all.

This week is awful as well. I am failing my English class, and I'm feeling a lot of pressure to drop the class because I'm doing so terribly. If I drop a class, however, people think of me as a failure because I wouldn't seem to be capable of a regular classload.

Anyway, I went by Father Old-As-Creation's office during office hours, but he wasn't in the office. He was out of the office despite the fact that it was during his office hours. So I didn't get to talk to him about the "D" I got on my midterm. Maybe he forgot what his assignment was, since I followed the assignment as well as possible, but still got a "D."

Further, I'm feeling a lot of pressure to ditch my current Dr. Psychiatrist for someone new. I'm not really good with confrontation, however. I wish I didn't have to do it myself.

Additionally, Dave Van Ronk recently passed away due to complications related to malignant colon cancer. Van Ronk, (hopefully some relation to me), was quite the influential figure in modern American folk music. I don't think many people have heard of him, but he was awesome, and the world has lost something truly great.

Here's my my wishlist if you want to help me feel better. Thank you.
