Listening to: From the Choirgirl Hotel. Not for long, though... it's not really matching my mood quite like I was expecting it too.

Currently Reading: Just barely started Jonathan Lethem's Gun, With Occasional Music. Kind of saving it for the train, as well as a stack of others (both fiction and non). Also, I recently read Laurie Notaro's I Love Everybody (and Other Atrocious Lies): True Tales of a Loudmouth Girl (again) in like two days, and peed myself laughing. Highly recommended. I also devoured The Broke Diaries by Angela Nissel in, like, a mere few days. Laughed until I peed. Also highly recommended.

Wishing: income. Lots of it. Other than that, life's pretty good.

I couldn't be more The current mood of ronkc@diaryland.com at www.imood.com right now.

Who?

Okay.

Hi, Mom? It's Chris. How are you? Good. Me? Well, I'm confused, quite frankly.

Here's what's up. I get this email from my Mom right after I left for class:

if you're still there, get on msn for a minute.
if you're not still there, you will be getting a b-day card from my old friend, [John Doe] ... i don't know what he will say, but he asked for your e-mail so he could send you a card. take it with a grain of salt if necessary.
talk to you this afternoon; if you're not there, i'll leave a message (probably a singing one!) and then i will call on sunday.

love you, mr. birthday,
mom

Okay. Um. Who? Why? I'm telling you dear reader, that I love my Mom with all my heart. Who's John Doe? Dear reader, I don't know John Doe from Adam! Why is he sending me an email card? How does he know it's my birthday? Why might I have to take this birthday greeting with a grain of salt? What is there about "Happy Birthday" that would need salt? Who knows. I'll keep y'all updated, dear reader.

Further, my coffee is cold. Why? Why is there a perfect balance between scalding and tepid which only lasts a couple of sips... One can never fit an entire scone, let along sucking back an entire cup of coffee within that perfect balance.

Come now, Chris, it's just coffee.

Yeah, well SCREW YOU!!

So confused and cold-coffee-ed.

If you're in Seattle and would like to join us for Gay Bingo, sign the guestbook, or email me and I'll send you an Evite for the event! Yay!!

Okay. More later, I'm sure.
