Listening to: From the Choirgirl Hotel. Not for long, though... it's not really matching my mood quite like I was expecting it too.

Currently Reading: Just barely started Jonathan Lethem's Gun, With Occasional Music. Kind of saving it for the train, as well as a stack of others (both fiction and non). Also, I recently read Laurie Notaro's I Love Everybody (and Other Atrocious Lies): True Tales of a Loudmouth Girl (again) in like two days, and peed myself laughing. Highly recommended. I also devoured The Broke Diaries by Angela Nissel in, like, a mere few days. Laughed until I peed. Also highly recommended.

Wishing: income. Lots of it. Other than that, life's pretty good.

I couldn't be more The current mood of ronkc@diaryland.com at www.imood.com right now.

The Jesus Station

Okay.

I'm watching the Jesus station on TV out of curiosity... A little while ago they had a really good preacher. Now, though, they have these really bad old men, and they have a really shaky cameraman.

One of them was just talking about moral decay, and actually mentioned (and I shouldn't be surprised that it was mentioned, but I love the way he said it): "homosexiality." Yeah, with an "i." BAAAAH-hahahahahah.

Okay. Then they started talking about the need for Jesus in America, and an old man sang a song called "Bring Back the Cross." It mentions Old Glory, and how the cross has always been there, sometimes invisible, but that the whole world knows that it's there.

Now they're talking about scripture, and how some people think that different passages refer to the United States, and they're refuting everything that people are arguing. They even actually said something to the effect of, "Well, I guess they figgered that we're taller than, I don't know, Chinese people..."

Appalled and amused at the same time, I have to turn it off... I can't type fast enough to record all the stupid shit they say. Christ.

Anyway.
