Listening to: From the Choirgirl Hotel. Not for long, though... it's not really matching my mood quite like I was expecting it too.

Currently Reading: Just barely started Jonathan Lethem's Gun, With Occasional Music. Kind of saving it for the train, as well as a stack of others (both fiction and non). Also, I recently read Laurie Notaro's I Love Everybody (and Other Atrocious Lies): True Tales of a Loudmouth Girl (again) in like two days, and peed myself laughing. Highly recommended. I also devoured The Broke Diaries by Angela Nissel in, like, a mere few days. Laughed until I peed. Also highly recommended.

Wishing: income. Lots of it. Other than that, life's pretty good.

I couldn't be more The current mood of ronkc@diaryland.com at www.imood.com right now.

Beggars Can't Be Chosers, BUT...

Okay.

I know I'm unemployed and I have to hit this like the full-time job it is, but I need one minute in a room, alone, with everyone who has ever posted on craigslist. It is my firm conviction that part-time jobs should be listed under the part-time category. Further, I also believe that ONLY office and administrative work be listed under the office and administrative heading, and that potential job candidates know the location of their potential employer: I want to know up-front if I'm going to have a rock a bus every morning for three hours to crank out a hot $8 an hour with no benefits, okay? Don't say you're "in the Seattle area." Technically, Portland is in the Seattle area. Buck up, kiddos.

Also, if you're a temp agency, please don't post ads. If I want temp work, I'll approach you guys, okay? Stop distracting me from the juicy ads that forty thousand people have already applied for anyway.

Okay back to the real world, in which I don't deserve to live in this nice apartment, and obtaining employment is impossible.
