Listening to: From the Choirgirl Hotel. Not for long, though... it's not really matching my mood quite like I was expecting it too.

Currently Reading: Just barely started Jonathan Lethem's Gun, With Occasional Music. Kind of saving it for the train, as well as a stack of others (both fiction and non). Also, I recently read Laurie Notaro's I Love Everybody (and Other Atrocious Lies): True Tales of a Loudmouth Girl (again) in like two days, and peed myself laughing. Highly recommended. I also devoured The Broke Diaries by Angela Nissel in, like, a mere few days. Laughed until I peed. Also highly recommended.

Wishing: income. Lots of it. Other than that, life's pretty good.

I couldn't be more The current mood of ronkc@diaryland.com at www.imood.com right now.

I am inspired, however...

Well, today was my last day of work under my current supervisor. It's nice to know that I don't have to work for (a couple days?)... Also nice to know that I won't have to wear this silly shirt for a while.

Still really sad about what's been happening. I am inspired, however, by the emails I have been receiving about our response as a community... how people are lighting candles at 7:00 PM tomorrow, how tomorrow is the day we're all supposed to wear red, white and blue... how we're supposed to fly our flags... The ringmaster from the Knitter's Diaryring emailed us all, telling us about a proposal by someone at some knitting magazine. We're all going to be knitting square-foot patches for blankets that will be sent to vicims and their families. They hope that the first ones will be delivered by Christmas. I'm in! (They're supposed to be red, white and blue, but all I have right now is cream and grey, which is cool, since they will accept anything.)

Auntie Lisa and Uncle Rick will not be visiting just yet, they decided. They say that it's not so much the fear, but they *do* have a work schedule next week, which means that they're not up to the 3-hour check-in process...

I have a ton of stuff to unpack, though, so I'm going to do that. I may have to work later this weekend...

(Much-Needed) Smile of the day: (this is totally me!!)
