Listening to: From the Choirgirl Hotel. Not for long, though... it's not really matching my mood quite like I was expecting it too.

Currently Reading: Just barely started Jonathan Lethem's Gun, With Occasional Music. Kind of saving it for the train, as well as a stack of others (both fiction and non). Also, I recently read Laurie Notaro's I Love Everybody (and Other Atrocious Lies): True Tales of a Loudmouth Girl (again) in like two days, and peed myself laughing. Highly recommended. I also devoured The Broke Diaries by Angela Nissel in, like, a mere few days. Laughed until I peed. Also highly recommended.

Wishing: income. Lots of it. Other than that, life's pretty good.

Has This Ever Happened to You?

Okay.

Let me know if this has ever happened to you:

You wake up after roughly five hours of sleep to your mother asking questions which you're sure you answered before. So you go gack to sleep when you get off the phone with her. You wake up in not nearly enough time to get ready for class. In order to avoid being penalised for not returning the malfunctioning scanner to the warehouse on time, you wisk it up on your way out the door and take it to mailing services. This would be delightful, only there's a woman in line in front of you taking several thousand years to complete her transaction. Finally you get to the counter, only there are two return adresses on two different labels on the box, so either way, you're sure to send it to the wrong location. You figure that they'll work it out, a scanner is a scanner, after all. So you're late to class because of that stupid woman, but because you were totally ill last night, you haven't done your homework, rendering you totally lost for the rest of the class period. Because of your tardiness, you missed the part of class in which the professor assigns the mid-term. So you have to have him email it to you. You have dinner at your university's cafeteria, where a grilled cheese sandwich is two slices of cheese between minimally warmed bread. You could have melted the cheese better by sticking the damned thing under your arm and waiting for a few minutes. You try to do homework, but because of Monday night football and a very strong sense of community between your building's floormates, there are occasional yells of excitement/disappointment which carry throughout the hall. You will try to go to sleep due to your exhaustion and need to awake early the next morning, however, you know that your chances are minimal because of the volume level just outside your door. Before writing in your webjournal tonight, you try to play a CD in your computer, but it won't recognise the audio hardware for some reason, and the only thing on TV is home shopping.

Has that ever happened to you, because that's been my day so far.

I'm still a little hungry, despite nausea. So I'm going to run down to the convenience store and get some cereal and milk. Then I'm going to go to bed and toss and turn all night.

The smile:
