Listening to: From the Choirgirl Hotel. Not for long, though... it's not really matching my mood quite like I was expecting it too.

Currently Reading: Just barely started Jonathan Lethem's Gun, With Occasional Music. Kind of saving it for the train, as well as a stack of others (both fiction and non). Also, I recently read Laurie Notaro's I Love Everybody (and Other Atrocious Lies): True Tales of a Loudmouth Girl (again) in like two days, and peed myself laughing. Highly recommended. I also devoured The Broke Diaries by Angela Nissel in, like, a mere few days. Laughed until I peed. Also highly recommended.

Wishing: income. Lots of it. Other than that, life's pretty good.

Doctor, Doctor...

Okay.

Do you ever get so anxious for no reason that you think your body will shed it's skin? That's how I'm feeling right now.

First, my toes feel like they're way too close together. I know this is totally out of nowhere, but it makes me itch, psychologically. I will scrub them raw when I'm done with this entry.

Second, my mom and stepfather are watching a movie on TV. The volume is very, very high, and I can hear it in any room of the house. Since my mother's sitting-still-for-long-periods-of-time skills aren't what they used to be, she gets up and does things during the movie, only to come back and ask what she's missed. Sigh. Further, the TV has adopted an attitude recently, shutting itself off and refusing to turn on again. Instead of trying a different surge protector, or calling the manufacturer, my mom has resolved to cursing a lot due to avoidable frustration whenever it happens, flipping off the surge protector (thus disconnecting everything on the cord), and waiting for five seconds before turning everything back on. Why is life so complicated?

I, as a result, become sweaty (which I detest), and can't keep from squirming. This is why I must crawl out of my skin and scrub my toes raw.

Is there a doctor in the house?

I promise the next entry will be more cheerful! Sorry, friends...
