Listening to: From the Choirgirl Hotel. Not for long, though... it's not really matching my mood quite like I was expecting it too.

Currently Reading: Just barely started Jonathan Lethem's Gun, With Occasional Music. Kind of saving it for the train, as well as a stack of others (both fiction and non). Also, I recently read Laurie Notaro's I Love Everybody (and Other Atrocious Lies): True Tales of a Loudmouth Girl (again) in like two days, and peed myself laughing. Highly recommended. I also devoured The Broke Diaries by Angela Nissel in, like, a mere few days. Laughed until I peed. Also highly recommended.

Wishing: income. Lots of it. Other than that, life's pretty good.

So Then Grandma Says...

Okay.

So it turns out that the reason I was feeling crappy yesterday was because I hadn't taken my morning pills.

Which explains the shopping.

But I got pretty throw pillows, so I guess it's okay.

I'm talking to my Grandmother today. Observe.

HER: So, what have you been up to lately?
ME: Well, I saw a brilliant Swedish film last night!
HER: Was it a PORNO?

Where on earth did she learn that word??

ME: No, it was a romance... kind of romantic-comedy, but not quite....

Porno? My Grandfather is surely rolling around in his grave.

So, yes. I'm still thinking about writing this book. The more I think about it, the more sense it seems to make. But then I worry that the more I think about it, the more complicated it will all get in my head. So I feel that I should get it all down on paper, and then I think about doing other things first, like homework, laundry, et cetera. I'll get there someday, though. I hope so, at least.

So I "applied" to be a reviewer at diaryreviews.diaryland.com. They wrote me back and told me that I had an "impressive 'application,'" which sounds promising to me. Who knows what will happen?

So I went to Ethics today for the first time in two or three weeks. I hadn't looked at the homework, but luckily it was some reading which we had already covered in my Philosphy class, so all went well. I even agreed to make up an exam on Friday, which was like, I can't believe I just did that.

My Ethics class is structured so that each day, at the beginning of class, each student writes down a question that he or she had about that day's reading. Then we go over all of the questions in class and then we use the last few minutes of class writing answers to our questions. This is how he does participation grades, this is how he does attendance.

Today I was late, so I hadn't come up with a question... But during class today, high school experiences and high school reunions were mentioned.

So I went off, calmly and briefly about one or two experiences of mine, from high school. At the end of that, I directed him to the entry where I talk about the Carmel High School Alumni Association, and how much I fear being tracked like an alien abductee. Of course, CHS screwed me up the ass more than what would have occured in a traditional alien abduction, but that is such a different story.

Anyway, that's all, really.
